transmission swap

1987 CHEVROLET CORVETTE

car has bad transmission. Have a transmission from an 1988 Chevrolet pickup. Both are 4L60e. other than changing rear housing will the 1988 work in the 1987 Corvette? Been told there might be electrical issues.

From what I could find on application chart if truck is 5.7L then it is interchangeable. transmission code is CD 700R4/MD8.

there could be electrical issues and of course, valve springing as well . if truck had a four wheel drive then the out put shaft as well has to be replaced.
