Transmission stuck in drive?

It's saying car is not in park shift transmission to desired location all the indicator lights are on. It's stuck in the run position. I replaced the shifter assembly and shifter cable.

Hi,

When you move the shifter, does the gear indicator also change? Does it show you are in park?

Also, what lights are staying on? Have you had the can-bus scanned?

Because shift indications are controlled by the transmission control module (TCM), I would have the can-bus scanned. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan should retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Also, are you certain the shift cable is properly adjusted? If not, let me know if it has a floor shift or column shift.
