I have the car listed above GXE model with a JA4075 transmission. When I turned the corner it acted like I got kicked out of gear when it did not and did not make a sound. I have not had any problems with the car before and I have changed the fluid checked the linkage and both are fine. I know the pump works because I checked the level with car off started it and level lowered to where it should when running the bands inside are not broken and there is no metal shavings in the transmission. I have changed all the vacuum lines also. The car when I put it into gear the accelerator moves like car is moving but it is not. I have checked axles on both sides and there both fine and set were they are supposed to be. I am at a loss as of what else it could be. Like I said have had no problems at all, no odd noises, no slipping, no hard shifting, fluid always maintained, never smelled off or look discolored. Please help it is my only car and I am a single father with a special needs child and need the car to make his doctors appointments.

Hello,

Let's start by running the codes to see what comes up.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/nissan-obd1-diagnostic-trouble-codes-and-retrieval-procedure-1984-to-1994

Here are diagrams of the wiring and the transmission so we can see how the system works. It sounds like you are losing pressure like a pick up tube has come loose allowing the fluid pressure to be lost when cornering. Try to get the fluid level up a little to see if that helps.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Yep, I was going to say axle but I thought they were all good. Glad you could get it fixed, that kind of problem can be tough. Please use 2CarPros anytime we are here to help.

So thought it was CV axle I was wrong put new one in and it is still doing same thing, speedometer moves like car is moving but it is not, and fluid levels are fine and no smell. But now if I push gas pedal to a high rpm tires barely move they did not at all before, second off I can move the wheel with car running when I put it in gear with little resistance. But my car still sits where I towed her to. So what else can it be?

If the speedometer is working it means the transmission is turning but it is not getting to the wheels. It sounds like an axle problem. Can you please double check it? Here is a guide that can help:

Please run down this guide and report back.
