transmission slips?

1997 DODGE DAKOTA
130,000 MILES • 5.2L • V8 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

Generic code reader says governor solenoid electrical, but I've replaced them and the wiring inside the transmission still have the issue any help would be awesome. The vehicle listed above is an SLT model.

Do you have the code number? I need it to help you. FYI, if the transmission is having a mechanical failure it will have shift and governor codes. I would check the level and condition of the transmission fluid. Also, please go over this guide as well.
