When starting from a stop the manual transmission seems to sometimes seems to slip in and out of gear. I didn't describe that very well. The clutch is not slipping and seems to work fine. The transmission seems to pop out then back into gear. Mostly this seems to happen in 1st and 2nd but sometimes in 3rd or 4th. When easing off the gas then back on.

Yep, this happens when the transmission Synchro's and shift forks are worn out, so the transmission will need to be rebuilt.

Thank you for responding. I thought with the high mileage that this was probably the case. Just wanted to check to be sure. Have a great day!
