This just happened today, transmission is slipping bad when put in "drive", no warning light or "fail safe" indicator. When put in "park", vehicle lurches forward about three inches. Previously I had noticed that when climbing a steep hill under speed (approximately 50 mph) that there seemed to be a lack of power to gain more speed.
Any ideas such as the torque converter?

Hello, I am Danny.

Has routine transmission services been performed? If you can check the the transmission fluid color/odor (smells burnt) and get back to us that would be able to help diagnose. Also, is the check engine light on? I have attached a few tutorials for you to help. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
