Friday evening my car drove fine from the shop, came to a stop went to go and all of a sudden, my car would not move forward had to bring the RPMs very high to get car to move, when it did I let off the accelerator and car shifted into 2nd drove fine from there. I moved the shifting lever down to low gear and then up to 3rd shifting manually but same thing slipping. I changed filter and fluid in transmission, but no change.

Hi,

That sounds like low fluid, but if you just replaced the filter and fluid, I suspect it is correct. That leaves line pressure as the next suspect. If it is too low, this can happen.

I attached the diagnostics for testing line pressure below. You will need a pressure gauge for transmissions. However, oftentimes a parts store will lend one to you.

Take a look at the directions and let me know if this is something you can do or have done.

Take care,

Joe
