I am changing leaking rear main seal. I have been told that while the transmission is out I should also change transmission seal. I did some searching and found several references.

Input shaft seal
Front pump seal
Front transmission seal
Front oil pump seal

Are these the same or they are in fact different, and should I change all of them?

Thanks.

These are the same. The torque converter goes onto the input shaft and the input shaft goes into the oil pump of the unit and there is a seal between the converter and oil pump. This can be changed if you have the unit out but it only requires changing when it is leaking. Basically people think that if they have the unit out and don't change it that it will leak soon after.

If it were me, I wouldn't change it but you can't make a wrong decision.
