Transmission range sensor location

What is it? tried looking it up at parts store it comes up speed sensor. is that the same thing? and where is it located?

Hi Jacsbratt,

The range sensor is not the same as the speed sensor. The TRS is a switch that tells the PCM which gear the transmission is in (P,R,N,D).

It is located on top of the transmission where the gear selector connects to the transmission.
