transmission stops pulling, and a transmission fault light comes on?

Car starts goes in drive, take off it changes all gears. Then when I come to a stop. The transmission stops pulling, and a transmission fault light comes on. Once I turn the car off and start it back up, it goes back to shifting n the fault light goes out. But every time I come to a stop, I have to do this.

The fact that it fixes itself when you reset the system is telling us the PCM is bad, but we should run the codes to see if any are stored, this guide can help:

Here is how to change the PCM out, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. Here are the transmission wiring diagrams as well.

Thanks for the advice. So much I'm about to take it out now. Can I get this one fixed? Can I get a used one. I have a parts car that has one still in it. Can I use this one? Do I have to get it programed before installing it? Or after? Or at all? Thanks in advance.

You can get a used one, but it will need to be programmed or you can send yours in to be tested or you can get a preprogrammed used unit, so it is your choice.
