Gearbox fault on jaguar. S type 2004 auto

When fault warning appears car will not change up . Starts and changes up into top.but at first change down the fault appears and it will not change up past second gear

the trans is in faultmode. have a trans guy scan it and see if anything is coming up.it can be electrical or an internal problem. Make sure trans is full of fluid though as well.
