Hello,

This usually means the transmission control system has detected a fault and the vehicle has gone into fail-safe (limp mode). So we need to run the codes, I suspect you might have a:

P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor circuit
P0715 - input speed sensor
P0720 / P0722 - Output speed sensor
P0730-P0736 - Gear ratio errors
P0750-P0775 - Shift solenoid problems
P0740-P0741 - Torque converter clutch

Also, a transmission range sensor can cause this problem as well, here is a video for you to go over to get the codes.
