Not shifting remains in first, but learned changed oil and used CVT fluid instead of ATF. Can that be my problem?

Using the wrong fluid should not be the problem. It would at least work for a short while but in the long run it can damage the transmission.
Transmission not working could be due to insufficient fluid added. Check the fluid level first.
But if the wrong fluid is used, it should be drained and replaced with the correct type.

Thanks for the answer but the problem was with the revolution sensors that
had been interchanged by mechanic. Both sensors use identical connectors so any can fit to both.
