Hi,

The PCM/TCM relies on three pressure switches to monitor fluid pressure in the L/R, 2/4, and OD hydraulic circuits. These components are integral to the solenoid/pressure switch. The pressure switches can only be serviced by replacing the assembly. (See pic below)

Let me know what codes you have so I can better pinpoint what you are dealing with.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

The P0700 is a generic code that simply indicates there is a code, or codes stored in the TCM. The P0870 is the one of concern and I do see why you indicated the pressure switch. However, there are several things that can be setting that code.

I attached the diagnostics for P0870 below. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Let me know.

Joe

I ended up changing fluid, input and output speeds sensors and solenoid. So far it is shifting fine and no lights. I am around 100 miles in since maintenance.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to know if is working properly now. Hopefully, it will continue.

Take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future. Also, if things change, let me know.
