Runs fine until you stop, then won't go into overdrive. Pull over turn car off start again everything works fine until you slow or stop again. I read some of your posts on this, don't think it has any codes. I'll check first thing this morning, but one person said knock sensor, the other said ECU in dash and customer said fixed so I had no clue a knock sensor could affect overdrive, but ECU makes more sense. What do you think? This is my wife's car. I don't need her doing 4,500 RPMs because of not paying attention.

Hi,

This could be caused by a few things. Also, like you, I don't feel the knock sensor has anything to do with it.

As far as codes are concerned, that is a must with this. If the fluid is clean and full, we have an electrical issue. I have a feeling it is related to the torque converter clutch lock-up solenoid. Let me know if you get a code. I think it may be P0770.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
