I had my battery unhooked for a day not sure if this has anything to do with it. When I drive once it hits third gear it just doesn’t do anything at all until it drops back Down to second and keeps repeating. Codes p0700, p0730.

Hi,

It sounds like the removal of the battery for an extended time is the cause. The steering angle sensor, which is an integral component in the ABS module, requires reprogramming.

You need a scan tool that is able to communicate with the ABS module. Take a look at the directions below. Also, it provides a better definition of what I mentioned.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I wish there were. It requires a scan tool that can communicate with the module and reset the steering angle sensor. They don't make anything easy anymore. LOL

I wish I had an easier answer, but this is what is required.

If you have a chance, let me know how things turn out for you.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

That sounds correct. However, it will still likely need to be calibrated.

I bought a scanner that calibrates SAS, but it will not work with my car. Can you find me one that will?

Hi,

I found one that indicates it will recalibrate SAS on Amazon. However, I don't know how much you want to spend.

Take a look below and let me know if that helps.
