Welcome to 2carpros. Com
The operation of the E4OD automatic transmission is controlled by the PCM. Many input sensors provide information to the PCM, which then controls the actuators which affect transmission operation.
The PCM is located under the hood on the driver's side near firewall. See the two pics I attached.
Here are the directions for removal and replacement. The remaining picture correlates with these directions.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Loosen engine control sensor wiring (12A581) to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector retainer bolt.
3. Remove engine control sensor wiring connector from PCM.
4. Loosen PCM bracket support screw.
5. Remove PCM bracket support and PCM.
INSTALLATION
1. Reverse removal procedure.
2. Tighten PCM retainer screw to 3-4 Nm (24-32 in-lb).
3. Tighten electrical connector retainer bolt to 4 Nm (32 in-lb).
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.
