I just changed the driver side front axle today and I did not put a new axle shaft seal on, is that the cause of leaking? I t was not leaking before that, and is it possible to put new axle on if it is not the correct one, even though the car operates with no problems?

I suggest replacing the seal you probably nicked it. Most axles will not work if incorrect.

Thanks for answer. Also I have an idle irregular problem. I checked the vacuum lines changed IAC valve. Can being low on transmission fluid have anything to do with it or is there anything else?

Transmission fluid low will not do anything with the engine. Try cleaning throttle plate and IAC hole with choke cleaner.
