I encountered late shifting on my transmission

I encountered late shifting on my transmission, now it consume a lot of gas in a short trip. Is there any one who can give idea on which part I need to repair in the transmission? Thank you in advance to your possible help.

It could be not a transmission problem the clue is the bad mileage which makes me think you have a partially plugged catalytic converter which lowers engine vacuum and makes the transmission shift late.
