Was driving from stop sign, went about 30 yards and heard a pop noise. From that point all I had was reverse. Had trucked towed home. I got in it to show someone that I only had reverse and now when I push the brake to shift out of park than truck will not shift out of park and my service stabilitrak light pops up on dash. Never had any issues prior to the sudden loss of gears. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If you have the stabilitrak light on, lets check codes and see what it says before we start taking things apart. You may need to drop the pan to see if there is metal in it. However let's start with getting codes and seeing what direction it takes us in.

Here are some guides that will help with pulling codes:

Plus here is a guide on drivetrain noises that you appear to have as well:

The truck was working fine, I was backing up to a dock, and put it in park to get out and check where I was, got back in the truck and went to put it in rev. And shifter would not move. I jiggled the shifter and pulled down on it. It moved down but feels disconnected now.

It does sound like the cable has broke or come off so I would suggest we start with replacing it unless you get in there and just find you can reattach it.

Either way you are going to have to open it up and find out what is going on in there.

Let us know what you find but here is the process from the manual that will help with this.

Thanks
