At first my car had troubles with a snapped wire that connects to the alternator, but it was replaced and ran fine. Then my battery died so I went and got it replaced. The very next day after getting it my change oil light when on so I went to a shop to get it changed. Then my battery light came on and went back to the place that my battery was replaced at and they tightened the cables and didn’t have an issue. As I was driving I noticed a grinding noise and my engine sounding louder than it usual does but I didn’t think anything of it. Fast forward to a few hours later after the car sat at home and I decided to run to the store not even 2 miles from my house my steering wheel got difficult to turn, didn’t think anything of it. Then a few second later my battery light came on my steering wheel tightened up and my car said transmission failure service immediately. The gas pedal wouldn’t work except rev my engine really high as I was trying to get over to the side of the road, as I got to the side of the road I was able to press on my brakes and put it into park and then the car died. I tried to restart the car but it wouldn’t make a noise or turn over but I could turn the keys but all the lights came on radio etc. I feel like this car is falling apart and I need help.

Issues with steering, battery light, transmission, are usually all related to low voltage due to either a failed battery or alternator, or a combination of the two. Step one will be to retrieve the trouble codes from the powertrain control module, even if the battery was dead or disconnected there should still be trouble codes stored in memory. More than likely there will be several low voltage related codes, but either way this is where diagnosis needs to begin.
