Transmission issues?

Car upshifts fine but when the RPMs drop, the car acts as if it’s in neutral until stopped, put in park, and back into drive. One shop switched the solenoids and that fixed it for a while and another shop (non-credible) said a whole new transmission is necessary. That’s all the info I have as I’m seeing this car on marketplace.

We should start by checking the transmission fluid level. Here is a guide to show you howe and instructions in the images below for your car:

If the fluid level is okay let's run the codes to see if any are stored.

I have seen the countershaft speed sensor start to go out and cause this issue, also sometimes it will not leave a code. Here is the location of the sensor if you want to try swapping it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find.
