Transmission issue?

I was driving down the road and I went to accelerate to go into a passing Lane and I lost all acceleration, I was able to pull off to the side of the road and put it in park. I then went to put it in drive, and I had no gears except for reverse currently my vehicle has been down for several weeks because it did not throw the check engine light on a transmission light on or codes as to my car giving transmission problems what can this be. Like I said my car will only drive in reverse it had full transmission fluid as well.

Hi,

Does the engine seem to be running correctly? As far as codes are concerned, did you scan the can-bus? CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different computers/modules on the vehicle are tied together via a few wires so they can communicate with each other. If you used a traditional scan tool, it may not have been able to read transmission codes.

Also, have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition? If not, I would recommend doing that as well.

I attached the directions below for the fluid test. Also, let me know if the fluid has been changed and if the gear indicator is indicating the correct gear.
