Transmission issue

Would changing transmission fluid fix transmission issue? The rpm jumps from first to second and then to third and fourth pretty fast when just tapping the gas a little. The transmission fluid is a little old but full. Would changing it fix the issue?

Hi Terrence,

It is possible that this could help. What you are describing is a transmission slip and old fluid will contribute to this. However, if you have a cut seal then the new fluid will not change the issue.

I attached the procedure plus a guide that will help do this just in case you need it.

If this does not work then unfortunately I suspect you have a cut seal and rebuilding or replacing the unit will be needed.
