Transmission removal issue?

Does the axle on the right side of the transmission have to be out before it comes out to put my clutch in?

Clutch replacement can take some time, make sure the car is secured on jack stand. Here is a you tube video of replacing the clutch on a n1989 Corolla, We are here to help if you have a question let us know

Yes it does, I have see some people leave it in but it makes the job much more difficult.
