Transmission interchange

2006 PONTIAC G6

I'm replacing a transmission in the car listed above with a used one. The o.e. transmission has a tag with EXJ on it. Salvage yard has one with a tag ESJ on it. I've looked and found they are the same gear ratio, but is there possibly some difference in the electronics that would bite me in the end? Thanks.

Hi,

Get exactly the same as what is in the vehicle. Yes, electronics will cause problems. With computers playing a big role in how they work, you will end up with issues.
