Radiator Replacement Small leak of transmission fluid

Small leak of transmission fluid where the transmission hose connects to the radiator.
Mechanic states that radiator must be replaced (radiator is free of charge, as it is under warranty), but labor is about 5.5 hours.

The connection is part of the radiator, and cannot be removed.

1. Can a sealant (silicone?) be used to seal the leak?

2. Would that cancel the warranty if radiator needs to be replaced down the road?

It sounds like there is a defect in the metal fitting which will need to be replaced to fix. Sealer cannot be used. Sorry,

Thanks Ken. I put some JB Weld epoxy on it. So far it is not leaking. If that doesn't work I may have to replace the radiator. Is there a repair video on this site to instruct me how to do that?

we can get you step by set instruction from Mitchell 1 data base, just post the car details and a VIN is also a big help to locate this info for you.

Nice work on the JB weld I hope it will work for you but if not here are some guides and instructions on how to replace the radiator, you will need to discharge the air conditioner.
