Had my transmission fluid changed today first time. It is a one owner, bought new in 03/2004.
The specs say use ATF-1. They used ATF-z1. Is this a problem?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Here is what my manual indicates as the correct fluids:

Fluid types
Automatic Trans-axle Fluid Type

Fluid type .................... Esso LT71141 or Total ATF H50235

The attached picture shows other acceptable fluids. I have nothing indicating the two types you indicated.

Notice that in the picture, it indicates Dexron III. That is an older fluid that has been replaced by updated Dexron products. Because it is older may be why I am not getting it to cross to what you indicated. However, that does not mean it will not.

Let me know if you have questions.

Joe
