Hi,
I would like to know at what temperature of the transmission I need to check the transmission fluid level and the procedure also. Does the transmission ATF level needs to be checked when it's cold, hot or both?

Here is how to check the transmission fluid level and the type of fluid used. The engine should be warm while checking the fluid.

Fluid Types

Fluid type:. Toyota Genuine ATF Type T-IV

Change Automatic Transmission Fluid Only As Necessary.

Generally, it is necessary to change automatic transmission fluid only if your vehicle is driven under one of the Special Operating Conditions listed under one of the Scheduled Maintenance Guide or Owner's Manual Supplement.

When changing the automatic transmission fluid, use only "Toyota Genuine ATF Type T-IV" (ATF JWS3309 or NWS6500) to aid in ensuring optimum transmission performance.

Notice: Using automatic transmission fluid other than "Toyota Genuine ATF Type T-IV" may cause deterioration in shift quality, locking up of your transmission accompanied by vibration, and ultimately damage the automatic transmission of your vehicle.
Capacities

ATF CAPACITY

Drain And Refill:. Up to 3.0 L (3.2 qt, 2.6 Imp. Qt.)

Dry Fill. 7.3 L (7.72 Qts.)

Fluid type:. Toyota Genuine ATF Type T-IV

NOTE: Change automatic transmission fluid only as necessary.

Let us know if you need anything else.

For a 2007 Toyota Corolla, the transmission fluid should be checked at a warm operating temperature, ideally around 104°F to 113°F (40°C to 45°C).

Confused now. The transmission dipstick has hot and cold marks, each one of them has min and max. So, do you mean by warm the cold mark? Also, when you say warm are you talking about the engine coolant temperature or the transmission temperature? This is what I read in the Haynes manual. Please see picture.

There is conflicting information about this, I would drive the car, or just start the engine and allow it to get to operating temperature and then check the fluid level.
