i have the car listed above with a 30,000 transmission oil change recommendation. however, i drove about 60,000 miles on the same oil. i went to a couple of shops, some say if they change it, the transmission may fail and others say it is just a myth.

Good morning,

It is not a myth. That is someone you do not go to for repairs.

It is recommended to replace it at 50,000. If you do not, you could damage the internal components and will have a premature failure.

Change the fluid and filter.
