Transmission failsafe light?

The vehicle is fine when I start it, I drive it for about half hour and the failsafe comes on. I turn off the car for a few seconds and then back on it goes away, but sometimes the engine light comes on with the failsafe light. I turn off the car and just the failsafe turns off. Then after about 200km the engine light turns off as well the light usually comes on around the 80kmph.

It sounds like the car is going into limp mode but we should runt he codes as well these guides can help us fix it.

Hello tonight I was driving my bmw 2003 x5 when the radio started to fade and all the warning lights came on. My vehicle began slowing down and then I received an error message, "trans fail safe prgm". Now my vehicle will not start! What is going on?

It might be several things, it could be the charging system is inoperative and you are experiencing a voltage related fault, check the battery voltage, it should be >12.5 volts, and about 14 when it is running. Do that and repost with the result.
