Transmission even in neutral stalls engine when clutch released

Car was fine when i parked it. I got in it put in reverse acted like brake was on put in first gear same thing. so put in neutral released clutch engine stalled like its in gear. even if i rev engine in first or reverse acts like brake is on car moves but not very much. i unhooked hill brake same problem with clutch pushed down car rolls fine, but car was fine when i parked it. any ideas on what is causing this?

This sounds like a toughy. Has the clutch ever been replaced in this car? You have a ton of miles on it.
