Transmission does not shift

120 MILES • 1.9L • 4 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

Car is sluggish as if starting out in third or fourth gear. Will climb to fifty mph or so then seems normal. Cannot get it to kick down. Shift problem does not change if you manually up shift or downshift. It has codes of 782 and 783 referring to ratio.

I posted how to check to see if the transmission actuators are working, that is your first step.I have never checked them like that I have always used a professional scan tool that can do that. But in your case that is the way your going to have to do it.
