Transmission differential

2010 CHEVROLET IMPALA

How do you remove the gear thing that surrounds the inner wall after removing the differential? Please any help is appreciated.

Does not come out from that side. You have to remove the transmission and strip it down. That is literally the last piece to come out and the first to go in on the drive section of the case.
