My revs go really high when I accelerate and sometimes get stuck going into a higher gear.
I've read if I rest my TCM it will help?
Do you think it will?
And if so, how can I do it on a semi auto please?

Hi,

You really can't reset a TCM. You can clear diagnostic trouble codes if present with a scan tool, but that isn't resetting it. Could that be what you are referring to?

Also, based on your description, there could be several things causing it. Have you checked the fluid level and condition? Also, have you tried scanning the computer for codes?

In this case, I would recommend scanning the can-bus. CAN stands for controller area network.

Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them. If you haven't already, I recommend doing this.

Here is a link that explains how it is done:

Let me know the condition of the transmission fluid and what codes are found.

Take care,

Joe
