Hello,

Do you have any warning lights on?
No start ability or gearchange issues?

P0727 GSG - no speed signal from engine control unit, sporadic - A4/A5 (B8) with Multitronic 0AW.
Customer statement / workshop findings:
In the gearbox control unit, the sporadic entry.

P0727 - no rev signal from engine control unit is logged.

Technical background.
At the engine start the rev signal arrives with delay. The entry is made because of a too sensitive diagnosis. The complaint causes no running problems.
As the entry is sporadic, it can be deleted.

P1741 Clutch pressure adaptation limit reached.

I would expect drivability issues with this fault code.
It normally points towards a possible worn clutch inside the transmission.
Expect the transmission to be slipping in/out of gears.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Boris

Hello,

If a used transmission is to be used you will need to clone the TCM, transmission control module, of the used transmission to suit your car. The TCM is part of the immobilizer system so if not cloned your vehicle will not start after transmission replacement.
Be aware that these CVT transmissions are very troublesome, so finding a good, used, transmission with a warranty will be hard.

See video regarding CVT issues:

The other option is to transfer the TCM from your old transmission to the used transmission.

How to remove TCM.
A good video, earlier model to yours but very similar:

If your vehicle is experiencing drivability issues then I would suggest to rather visit a specialist shop and have the transmission repaired, like this you get a warranty on the work done.

Why are they using CVT if they are all troublesome? Audi and ithers. Only exception would be Prius, i have had so many with zero issues. I have tried a chevy spark once, oh no, gave it back.

Hello,

The idea behind a CVT transmission is brilliant, unfortunately the technology is often not properly developed thus making them unreliable.
