The code P0960 stands for "Pressure Control Solenoid 'A' Control Circuit High." It is related to the transmission control system. This code indicates that there is an issue with the electrical circuit for the pressure control solenoid "A". The pressure control solenoid regulates the hydraulic pressure that is used to control the gears in the transmission. When the solenoid receives an electrical signal from the PCM (Powertrain Control Module), it opens or closes to control the flow of transmission fluid. When the PCM detects a problem with the circuit for the pressure control solenoid, it will trigger the P0960 code.
