I purchased an RV and made one trip with no issues, but I have noticed while driving with no RV attached the transmission cluster gauge is staying on the far left and not getting to the center where it usually stays until quite a while as I am driving. I want to get this checked before I take the RV again. I read online where this model has the dip stick under the car passenger side. Should I remove the plug to verify the transmission level first before I change the filter? I used the tow/go with the camper and it pulled the hills really good with it engaged. I somehow think that the towing has brought the issue about. Your thoughts? Thanks

Yes, it is a good idea to check the fluid level and condition. This guide can show you how and I have included instructions for more information for your truck in the images below.

It sounds like you may have a clogged catalytic converter, or the input shaft speed sensor can be going out, I would run the codes to see if any are stored.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

No codes at all. I just noticed last week that it was taking longer for the gage to move to normal position. I wanted to get this checked before I take the RV our again. The truck pulls the 31-foot travel trailer really good. I have a tow button I engage when towing.

Sounds good, I have seen the input shaft sensor get weak and cause shifting irregularities FYI. Let me know how the fluid condition is.

The transmission is running fine, just the noticing of the gauge taking longer to move has me a little concerned.
