I was driving sounded like something fell off of car. Sounded like a spring or small metal object I pulled over and as I shifted into park it clanked, then I tried putting it into reverse clank drive clank back into park clank. I've had a squeak when I turn also the rubber piece on my upper control arm is ripped in two. On the driver's side. A lot of clanking when I drive.

This happens when the driveshaft U joints need to be replaced. If you remove the driveshaft a driveline service in your area will replace the u joints for you. Here is how to remove the drive shaft for service in the images below and it shows an exploded view so you can see how the driveshaft works. Also, if you could upload a short video of the noise, I can tell for sure what the problem is. Please let me know what you find. Please start a new thread for the upper control arm problem.
