Transmission replacement advice?

Recently purchased a very low mileage car listed above RS, automatic. The car drove an hour home transmission was slipping like previous owners stated it was. Sent it on a flatbed the next day. A mechanic starts drooling over the car and also telling me it's hard to find transmissions I don't mind if it's in manual swap for 420 or an automatic. If I can find a cheap transmission, I'll do it myself.

You could swap in a manual transmission if you install a clutch pedal as well. I believe the CV axles will be different as well. If you want to keep the automatic here is how to change the unit out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
