I bought a used transmission for my car and there is a cable that is not on the old one. it is the one circled in green.

what year is the one that you bought? take it back and get correct one. it is probably for throttle pressure.

It came from the same year car 1998 Ford escort zx2 2.0l.

Check month of manufacture if Aug/Sept or later could be considered 1999.
