My transmission started to make noise on my way home from work. parked it and removed the shifter boot and smelled fluid but it’s not leaking anywhere. I installed a new clutch at 189,500 miles and I removed the shifter and it will not move even when I put it in gear and let the clutch out. I need help please!

Hi,

When you say it started making noise, did it sound like a bearing or something different? If it won't move in any gear, are you sure the shift linkage hasn't come disconnected? If it isn't, then it has to be related to the clutch pressure plate. Could the smell have been caused by the clutch slipping?

Let me know.
