Jerking when shifting gears?

Hi,

I need to ask a question. In the heading, it indicates an automatic transmission. However, you mentioned it jerks when you shift. Is this possibly a manual transmission?

If it is an automatic, does this only happen when you first place the transmission in drive or reverse or do you experience it when you are driving and the transmission shifts through the gears?

Also, if you haven't already, check the transmission fluid condition and level.

I attached the directions from my manual for you. It is a little bit of a pain to check this one. The directions also include some diagnostics based on what is found.
