Good afternoon.

Did you have this issue prior to the valve body replacement?

Are there any codes stored?

No codes and the transmission was starting to slip.

Okay. that is not the valve body at all. Slipping is internal with the clutches and seals. That is a mechanical issue and there are no codes for mechanical issues.

Sounds like you need to rebuild or replace the transmission.

Can you post a picture?

It sounds like an accumulator spring. That is a spring that applies a band for smooth operation.

Okay, then something happened during your repair replacing the valve body.

You need to go over your work.

Did you replace the gaskets when you changed the valve body?

Yes, the new valve body came with the new gasket on it and the shift solenoid is new as well. I bought them as a pair .

Okay, something is not correct as it is not the same as it was prior to the repair.

Was the valve body identical?

Okay, something is incorrect. You need to start from scratch and pull it down again.

No, that is why I don't understand what went wrong the transmission fluid looked brown but no metal shavings on the magnetic. There was a bunch of sludge though.

Not a good sign at all. It sounds like you are going to either rebuild it or replace it.
