I have the 1zz fe VVTI 1.8l 4-cylinder engine, if instead of buying the exact same transmission for it (1zz fe 5 speed manual) would the 2zz 6 speed manual transmission from a gt-s fit and work on the 1zz engine?

The 1ZZ-FE and 2ZZ-GE engines share similar bolt patterns, meaning the C60 6-speed manual transmission from the 2ZZ-GE should physically fit the 1ZZ-FE engine, but before you install it I would check the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and CV axle fitment. Also, make the electrical connectors are the same.
