Transmission makes a whining noise

It makes a whining noise and at first, you can drive it but then it starts not taking gas. You can stop and reset it by turning on and off three times and it goes back to normal for a little bit. What do I do to fix the problem?!

This sounds like a couple of things so we are going to need to get a little more info to figure out what direction to go. So let's start with checking for any codes.

If there are no codes then we need I assume this is an internal transmission issue but can you confirm you do not have the CVT transmission? If you do then this is a different issue.

Let's start with checking for codes and what transmission you have and we can go from there. However, I attached below how to check the fluid on a CVT if that is what you have.
