Vehicle only running in first gear. Could transmission screen be a solution?

Hi,
I just want to confirm you have a CVT transmission because that is the only option I show but when you say it is stuck in first gear that indicates that you have a conventional transmission.
Do you know which you have? If not, can you just provide the last 8 digits of you VIN and I can look up how your vehicle is equipped. In fact, that may be best so we can get this right quicker. Thanks
Here is a document that explains CVT if you are not sure, but again if you send me your VIN I can make sure to give you the best info.
