It now moves but goes forward only and goes forward when in neutral, reverse and park.

Hi,

If I understand, there is no reverse, correct? Next, have you checked to make sure the shift linkage hasn't come apart?

Next, there is a chance the problem is internal, but I'm a bit confused why all wheels would have locked. If it is internal, I suspect it is related to a broken retainer in the forward clutch pack that is allowing the clutch to remain engaged at all times. Hence, trying to go forward at all times regardless of gear selection.

When you place it in park, does the vehicle move, or does it simply load the engine down trying to go forward? Next, when it is in reverse, does it feel like it is fighting itself?

Let me know. I suspect we will need to remove the transmission pan to check for any damaged metallic components.

Take care and let me know your questions and as much as you can think of that could help me. Also, let me know if there was a bang or any noise when the wheels locked.

Joe

Wheels move, I got it on blocked. Now I'm missing a check ball in the valve body. My ATF looks like someone put motor oil in it. Shift linkage was off a bit. I fixed that and adjusted the needle on the dash. There were definitely shavings in the pan. What originally happened was I tried taking off in reverse really quick and got 20 feet down the road and it felt like it was fighting itself.

Hi,

The low/reverse clutch pack is the same thing. Are you planning on taking it apart to see if there is an issue internally?

Let me know.

If it needs that kind of work, I will take it to a garage. Thanks for your help!
