I just picked my car up from the shop after getting the transmission rebuilt now it's acting like the emergency brake is on and it doesn't want to move.

Hello,

So, is the emergency brake actually engaged?
It is possible that something got disconnected/loose within the transmission and creating that issue.

Does it go in gear?
If you apply gas, does it move?

Let me know what you are experiencing.
Thank you.

I don't think it's possible for anything to have gotten knocked loose and no, the emergency brake is not engaged at all. It goes into gear, and it goes when I push the gas, but I have to put pretty hard down for it to move and it seems like it's really hard for it to move.

It almost feels like it felt when the transmission seized on me before I got it rebuilt.

Got it. This sounds like the transmission oil pump might not be functioning properly. This can lead to slow acceleration, hard shifts etc.
Does it shift into next gear?
Is the check engine light on? If this is for a module it will likely throw a code.

It didn't shift into next gear I didn't want to push it too much so I'm not sure if it would have shifted or not, but I left it to sit it for about an hour and went back to get it and it drove fine the check engine light is not on.

So, it is driving normal at this time?
It is strange for the issue to go away. Could be an issue related to temperature of the components.

Since this was just rebuilt it will be a good idea to take it to the shop (if it is drivable), when they are open.
