1999 nissan Sentra. Automatic Transmission. Car has only second(L2) for Forward gear, revs to about 2500 RPM only. Is this limp mode(safety mode)? A scan produced no codes. No instrument lights are on. What to do??

check fluids and have a trasn guy scan it it is in limp mode something is wrong with it internally
